TRUNK or TREAT

         On Sunday, October 31, our church will hold its 10th Annual Trunk or Treat event. Starting at 5:00PM that evening, church members will have their cars parked along the edges of NW 3rd Street outside the church…trunks open! The children of the community will be invited to come and “trick or treat”.  Along with candy and warm greetings, the United Methodist Men will again be offering FREE hot dogs and bottled water to everyone!

     With Covid-19 restrictions in place, we will social-distance and deliver food items in a manner that keeps the safety of all in mind.

    Many churches struggle with participating in Halloween-related events and we understand that. BUT…it seems to us that the community is going to observe Halloween regardless of what the church does. Therefore, we have a choice to make: we can refuse to be involved and unconsciously widen the gap between the Church and the community. OR…we can choose to be involved and do so in such a way that the community sees us a willing partner.

    So on Halloween night, we put our best foot forward, invite the community, and have a GREAT time doing it! Join us!!
